    • How many treatments do you need?

    There are many factors that determine the number and duration of treatments. Generally, acute conditions can resolve within 2 or three treatments. Chronic long-term conditions generally respond more slowly but one should see an improvement trending in the overall condition as the treatments progress.  To accommodate ongoing multiple treatments Zenhealth can offer substantial savings plans.

    • Why is your acupuncture painless?

    We use the highest quality Japanese stainless steel products and the needles are extremely fine and flexible. With specialized gentle insertion techniques, most needles are not felt. Many people drift into a deep relaxation state or sleep.

    • Is Acupuncture Safe?  

    When practiced by an qualified practitioner acupuncture is one of the safest medical interventions known. It must be noted that all medical procedures come with some degree of risk and these risks can vary individually. With acupuncture some unwanted effects may include bruising, bleeding, nausea and lightheadedness and are short-term effects  Needles a single use sterile type. 

     

    • What is the difference between Acupuncture and Dry Needling?

     Dry Needling is a recent name given to a basic acupuncture technique of inserting a needle into taut muscle fiber areas called trigger points to produce a reflex "twitch" response. This response can relax the tightened muscle and thereby reduce pain. This technique is a basic technique used in traditional acupuncture of "Äshi" points known as dispersal technique.

     

  • Insurance

    All of our practitioners are registered with most health funds. Simply present you insurance card and we can process claims on thespot through our electronic HICAPS facility.

    The amount you receive depends on your level of extras cover and can vary from person to person. Enquire to your insurance provider as to what rebates you receive.

     

  • Cancellation Policy

    Your appointment time has been specially set aside for you, should you be unable to keep your appointment a minimum of 24hours notice is needed to refill the space. Failure to give sufficient notice may result in a charge and full non-refundable prepayment for the follow up session.
